Meeting the teams on Blitvenica waypoint was a great sight. First were rounding race favourites Manuard/Gorec on SSC27 AUT58. A smooth peel from FR0 reaching sail to downwind gennaker made it look like they are sailing together for ages and not for the first time. The Vikings on DEN73 were second about 20min behind the leaders. They made a show of raw Northern power by hoisting the gennaker on a reach and force it in to place with brute force. The rest of the fleet was following in the champagne conditions of 10kt of SE, 20C and blue skies. The 24 with Masa and Yosuke was placed between the 18 and the 27 fleets. In the 18s the first boat around was SLO83 with youngsters. Neck and neck behind them were adventurers Thomas and Jochen onboard of GER120 and the newest Seascape in the fleet SLO315. Trailing the leading pack was last year team of Jermans on SLO128.
